A place for making things.

Culver City Studio Works is an independent creative technology studio in Southern California.

We make software, systems, art, experiments, media, and occasional things that don’t fit neatly into any of those categories.

The studio did not begin with a business plan or a category. We were already making things all the time. At some point it became obvious: call it a studio or don’t. It was one anyway.

Some projects solve real-world friction. Some are art. Some are jokes that got out of hand. Some fail spectacularly and teach us something useful. No project has to explain the next.

We make shit. So we built a studio.
